Last week, I challenged secondary maths teachers’ knowledge of the primary maths programmes of study. It went down well. So, never one to miss an opportunity to milk a good idea, this week we are going to delve more into the differences and - more pertinently - the similarities between the maths students are exposed to at primary and secondary.
And yes, I have another game for you to play.
Below are a series of questions. Each one is taken from either a SATs exam (students sit this during their final year of primary school, aged 11), or a GCSE exam (students sit this during their final year of secondary school, aged 16).
Your job is to decide which question belongs to which exam.
There are 10 questions in all. Here is Question 1:
