This newsletter is made possible because of Eedi. Check out how schools are using our platform to improve students’ understanding and confidence with maths here
Hello!
I hope you are all well.
With the end of the academic year in sight (finally!), I wanted to use the last Eedi newsletter to share some free CPD that you may have been too busy to engage with in the chaos of school life, but which might just go down a treat alongside a glass of wine in a sun-soaked garden.
Over the last three years, Jo Morgan and I have recorded a series of Topics in Depth CPD sessions. In each one, we take a deep-dive into a topic, considering questions such as:
How best to introduce the topic?
What related ideas have students experienced at primary school?
What misconceptions might students hold or develop?
How is the topic assessed?
What are the best resources to use when teaching it?
What might a sequence of lessons look like?
These Topics in Depth sessions are great to work through on your own, or use with colleagues in a departmental meeting.
I thought it would be useful to have all the videos together on one page, together with the accompanying PowerPoints. So, here they are… oh, and make sure you stick around at the end of the post for an exciting CPD announcement!

Following the success of our previous Marvellous Maths courses, Jo Morgan and I are back with more in-person CPD for maths teachers this October. Packed full of inspirational resources, ideas and strategies that will improve teaching and learning, Marvellous Maths 3 will be invaluable for teachers of upper Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. And we're throwing in full access to online CPD afterwards, so your whole department will benefit.
