Diagnose, Resolve, Secure and Master (for free!) with Eedi
This newsletter is made possible because of Eedi. Check out how schools are using our platform to improve students’ understanding and confidence with maths here
Hello!
We have been busy at Eedi over summer, and I am so excited to share what we have produced.
Drum roll please…
Pick a topic, any topic
Imagine you are planning a lesson on ordering decimals. Here is what you can now do:
Sign up or log in to Eedi. If you are registered with diagnositcquestions.com, your login details are the same.
Access our lovely new Quiz spreadsheet, by clicking on View the collection on our curriculum page.
Find the topic you are teaching, either by scrolling through the Subject > Topic > Quiz name columns, or by pressing the Ctrl and F keys together on your keyboard and doing a keyword search. In my case, I wanted a quiz about ordering decimals.
Click on the Eedi link in column F, and hold your breath as you are taken to our brand-new quiz page!
On this page, you will find:
A 5-question diagnostic quiz to assess students’ understanding of that topic
The skills tested in the quiz. Clicking on each of these filters the resources below to match that skill.
Diagnose: Multiple choice questions to quickly identify students' strengths and the specific nature of any misconceptions
Oh, and if you click on the image, it is displayed full screen so you can show your class. And if you click Show answers, you get to see how students all around the world have performed, as well as the reason for the most common choice of wrong answer, together with a hint for students.
Resolve: A video of a worked example, complete with reflection question and a follow-up question to check students' understanding
Secure - Basic: Fluency practice to help students develop confidence and competence in this skill.
Again, these questions can be projected on the board, and if you click Show answer, you get the answer and a full video solution.
Secure - Advanced: Intelligent practice, consisting of a sequence of related questions where students are challenged to reflect, expect, check and explain.
Master: Problem-solving questions designed to challenge even your highest-achieving students.
Yep, these have answers and full video solutions too.
Each of these resources can be used in class, or assigned to students on our system.
What content do you cover?

How could I use this spreadsheet?
Make it your first stop when planning your lessons
Use it in lessons for questions and videos
Copy the Eedi links into your existing scheme of work document
Go to File > Download to get your own copy edit and use offline
Sign up for our free Eedi newsletter for more ideas for making the most of our resources
How much does this cost?
One million pounds… only joking. It is 100% free.
I like this! Please help me, my colleagues, and my students get set up on Eedi!
No problem! The best place to start is our resources page. Here you will find a video and a PowerPoint to share with your colleagues to help them understand the Eedi platform, as well as a PowerPoint and a video to share with your students.
We also have a series of introduction webinars you can register for.
Any other questions or issues, just email us here: hello@eedi.co.uk
I really hope you and your students find these new resources useful! I am so proud of them. If you do find these resources useful, the best way you could show your gratitude is to share this post with your colleagues - I would really appreciate it.
