Before we begin, you may want to check out my brand-new 16-part book series, The Tips for Teachers guide to… here. Book 13 on Independent Practice is now available.
Here are three blog posts that I found interesting this week.
1. Ask the Cognitive Scientist: What Do IQ Scores Mean? by Eric Turkheimer, Daniel T. Willingham

2. The Long-Term Memory Problem: Why Teaching and Learning Policies Fail by Adam Boxer
Adam argues that schools often excel at policies for in-the-moment teaching but fail to adequately strategise for long-term retention, leading students to forget content quickly despite high-quality classroom instruction.
3. Research Review: AI+Human Tutors Match Quality of Human-Only Tutors? by Dan Meyer
Dan is blogging again! This week, he has written about our Eedi/Google study into how AI can support human tutoring. Dan is generally positive, but does raise a few concerns…
Have a great weekend… and a fantastic Christmas!
