3-Read Friday #87
Personalisation, lesson planning, and parental attitudes
Before we begin, you may want to check out my brand-new 16-part book series, The Tips for Teachers guide to… here. Book 5 on Checking for Listening is now available.
Here are three blog posts that I found interesting this week.
1. The Promises and Pitfalls of Personalisation by Becky Allen
A blistering post on AI and what it means for the future of personalised learning by one of the leading assessment experts in the country.
2. How to Teach (with AI) by Dominic Salles
Long-time readers will know I am officially the world’s biggest NotebookLM fan. Here, Dominic shares a really smart use of the free tool to aid lesson planning.
3. Are we facing the worst generation of parents?
Andrew makes a compelling case that the attitudes of many of today’s parents towards behaviour are influenced by their own experiences of school in the 2000s, which may have had different expectations of schools today.
Have a great weekend.
Craig
