Carl takes a customery deep dive into a new meta-analysis of Richard Meyer’s multimedia principles. Carl picks out the principles of design that are likely to have the most impact on student learning, and identifies the boundary conditions that can make or break them.

3. The Hidden Lives of Teachers by Adam Robbins

Graham Nuttall’s book, The Hidden Lives of Learners, had a massive impact on my teaching. Nuttall identifies three hidden worlds within our classrooms: the teacher’s world, the peer world, and the private world. In this post, Adam adds a fourth world: the teacher’s world of beliefs, values and internal narratives
