3-Read Friday #81
Back to school, AI, and booklets
Primary teachers, have you seen our brand-new White Rose maths collection of diagnostic questions? Reception to Year 6, all free, available here.
Here are three blog posts that I found interesting this week.
1. Back to school 2025… by Colleen Young
Colleen is one of the OG maths bloggers and is still going strong. In this post, she compiles a wealth of lovely resources to use with students during the first few weeks and throughout the coming year.
2. AI in Schools: Three Things to Get Right by Carl Hendrick
I am fascinated by the impact AI is having, and will have, on our jobs and the education of our students. Carl addresses three key aspects of AI that teachers and leaders need to consider as the world around us rapidly changes.
3. Bookletising the curriculum by Jon Fant
Booklets, PowerPoints and departmental approaches to topics have been regular themes in my newsletters and podcasts over the last few years, and always divide opinion. I loved reading Jon’s endeavours to develop a coherent approach across his maths department to two key topics.
