Give your students a chance to stay sharp this summer with our maths Summer Club from July 21st to August 29th!
By completing the Question of the Day (QOTD) each day in their free Eedi account, students can earn weekly prizes and build confidence for the new school year. Plus, 3 lucky winners will be chosen every week!
It’s a fun, easy way to keep learning going while rewarding effort!

Here are three blog posts that I found interesting this week.
1. Three Words Aren’t Enough: Rethinking Motivation? by Andrew Watson
I love Andrew’s research deep-dives. Here, he explores Deci and Ryan’s self-determination theory, delving beyond the headlines to consider what this concept looks like in the classroom.
2. Teaching the limited capacity brain. A visual guide and model by Mike Hobbiss
A super clear overview of the limitations of our brains in terms of attention and working memory capacity. The illustrations are especially useful and could be shared with students to help them better understand how they learn.
3. Correct Answers But No Learning by Carl Hendrick
Gosh, Carl is banging out some good blog posts at the moment. This one reflects on an experience he had watching his daughter complete a card sort, and his implications for the activities we have students do in our classrooms.
