Give your students a chance to stay sharp this summer with our maths Summer Club from July 21st to August 29th!
By completing the Question of the Day (QOTD) each day in their free Eedi account, students can earn weekly prizes and build confidence for the new school year. Plus, 3 lucky winners will be chosen every week!
It’s a fun, easy way to keep learning going while rewarding effort!

Here are three blog posts that I found interesting this week.
1. How to Teach Element 2 of 4: Transformations by Kris Boulton
I find Kris’ Unstoppable Learning newsletter fascinating. In this post he introduces how to teach Transformation Atoms. Three carefully chosen examples, 20 seconds, and then lots of checking for understanding.
2. What is Cognitive Load Theory? by Dylan Kane
If you want a 5-minute summary of the key concepts in Cognitive Load Theory, then this is for you. There’s even a comment on the post from Paul Kirschner as an added bonus.
3. Is it better to read on paper or an e-reader? by Alex Quigley
It’s a question I ponder both for myself and my 6-year-old. Alex synthesises the research.

Have a great weekend.

I like your newsletter but am getting tired of 'the usual suspects'.
