This newsletter is made possible because of Eedi. Check out our brand-new set of diagnostic quizzes, videos, and practice questions for every single maths topic, ready to use in the classroom, and all for free, here.
Here are three blog posts that I found interesting this week.
1. Cognitive coaching: changing minds and changing practice by Sarah Cottinghatt
Sarah is one of my favourite thinkers, and judging by this debut post, her new newsletter will be a must-read. Sign up for regular reflections on improving CPD, especially coaching.
2. Shame by Jo Castelino
Jo contrasts how a teacher might react to a colleague’s misconception with how they might react to a misconception held by one of their students. This really made me reflect on my own perceptions and actions.
3. September routines by Jo Morgan
This one from Jo is not just for the maths geeks! Jo describes the routines she employs inside lessons, and for things like homework, student support and parental communication.
If you found this edition of 3-Read Friday useful, feel free to share it with colleagues. Also, you can check out all the back issues of my Eedi newsletter and Tips for Teachers newsletter here. But, most importantly of all, have a great weekend.
