Here are three blog posts that I found interesting this week.
1. Everything you need to know about exam stress by InnerDrive
This is a timely post by the InnerDrive team. They have summarised the key research into exam stress, including links to the original studies should you wish to delve deeper. The 5 tips at the end are certainly worth sharing with students.
2. Independent Feedback Loops by Craig Latimir
Practice does not make perfect, practice makes permanent, is one of the great education mantras. Here, Craig explains the importance of independent feedback loops so we can students can ensure students are practising the right skills, and not automating errors.
3. ChatGPT-4o Will Be Great for Certain Math, Certain Thinking, and Certain Kids by Dan Meyer
As regular readers may remember, Dan is very much a sceptic when it comes to the potential for AI to revolutionise education. Here, he reflects on the latest release from OpenAI - ChatGPT-4o - and in particular, that video of Sal Khan’s son being “taught” trignometry by AI.
If you found this edition of 3-Read Friday useful, feel free to share it with colleagues. Also, you can check out all the back issues of my Eedi newsletter and Tips for Teachers newsletter here. But, most importantly of all, have a great weekend.
